The Oyster Chandeliers

The last two in the Chandelier Posters series; the concept with this one was the same chandelier in different colours, that give a completely different atmosphere to a place.

The black chandelier is quite sleek, and almost a bit ominous; like a cyclone of bats, but the white one reminds me of sails, or feathers.

Here are the posters anyway, hope you like them!

The Swarovski Chandelier

This chandelier's particularly funky, in that its actually designed to change shape. It's made from skirts of crystal beads in concentric circles, that start on the same level, and descend into this crystal spike formation - pretty cool huh? Design by George Singer, poster by me.

And this is the point in the internship I fully embraced the lens-flare as a tool in my work (although I couldn't settle for the preset photoshop version - and had to construct my own)

A brief break from my chandelier posters: I got offered the chance to do a cover design for Read This, a poetry magazine based in Edinburgh.
So here is my jazzy Shakespeare cover, along with a couple of little famous literary peeps for inside the mag - two of the three bears, Dracula (and Igor), Harry Potter, and Poirot.

Enjoy!

The Honolulu Chandelier

The Honolulu Chandelier! Porcelain dancer's legs in various poses with powder pink skirts.
There'll probably be single lamps available at some point.
This one was quite hard to get right, because my favourite part of my original design - the vegas style typefaces - just didn't work with the complete design and had to be cut. What one of my tutors used to call 'killing your babies'. On that note...

Speak to you soon!

The Deco Chandelier

The third in the series of the George Singer posters.
The Deco is made out of glass tube of different lengths with angled cut rims to create a curve.

The Cascade Chandelier

The next in the series of seven promotional posters for George Singer, The Cascade Chandelier. Made of suspended brass 'leaves'.

These posters will be printed A2 (and cropped), so they'll be pretty big once they're all sorted.
It's gonna be great.

Greetings all!

Sorry about the lack of updates: have been working with a chandelier designer for the last month, designing promotional posters for his work (and by extension my own).

There's a series of seven I've managed to get done in the month I've been working at Hothouse by London Fields; the first of which is the Butterfly Chandelier, shown here, by George Singer. The chandelier is designed with 1000 porcelain butterflies (created by Christina Sterlini).
